Catherine's Journey

I had lots of dreams growing up. I wanted to be a gymnast. I wanted to be a singer. I wanted to be a dancer. I wanted to be a fighter pilot. I wanted to get a motorcycle. But I never dreamed that the dream that God had for me would be more beautiful and pure than what I could choose for myself.

Dance

Since I was three years old, I was in dance lessons. I had wanted to take gymnastics, but God knew that I was a dancer at heart.

I taught dance for four years until I felt God moving me in another direction.

Even though I have left a career of dance behind me, I still dance.

I have discovered worship flags and continue to use the gift that God has given me to bless others.

Military

Freshman year of High School I asked God what He wanted to do with my life. He told me that He wanted me to serve in the military.

I joined the Civil Air Patrol, US Air Force Auxiliary during my last three years of High School and planned to begin Air Force ROTC after I graduated. My goal was to become a fighter pilot.

But God had other plans for me.

He began to show me that I was not meant to serve in the United States Military, I was meant to serve in His military.

Hebrew

Six months before I was meant to start College and ROTC, God introduced me to what I would be doing for the rest of my life.

Studying and teaching Hebrew.

I took an introductory class and immediately fell in love.

I learned to use tools to discover the deeper meanings of Hebrew words and letters.

It was the most natural thing I have ever experienced. I have been studying the Bible Hebraically ever since.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

- Jeremiah 29:11, NIV
